The Nebraska Synod will partner with Lutheran Family Services to provide programs promoting pastor and congregational health. This will include the development of the Barnabas Project, which will train a cadre of intentional interim pastors and gifted retired pastors to serve as highly skilled mentors. These individuals will be able to provide on-site expertise, observing dynamics and offering advice to pastors that can lead to professional development and resolution of conflict and tension. The campaign will provide four years of funding for these programs that encourage healthy pastors leading healthy congregations.
