Through the Bishop’s Initiatives, the Nebraska Synod identifies and invites persons with special gifts to participate in events with Bishop David deFreese. Middle school youth participate in a single day experience, while high school students attend a single retreat. College students are invited to a three-day thought-provoking retreat.

Program Status:

The Bishop's Initiative programs are the flagship of Operation IDEA. The incredible experience that these programs (elementary, middle school, senior high and college) provide have guided hundreds of individuals to discern their calling.

The campaign will provide four years of funding for this Operation IDEA program.
